Health Research Analyst
The Surgical Outcomes Research Center (SORCE), the home of CERTAIN, has an open position for a Health Research Analyst.
Projects utilize clinical data collected from hospitals in addition to administrative claims data, vital status records, healthcare payer claims datasets, and patient-reported survey data. SORCE’s projects bring together multiple clinical and academic disciplines to investigate healthcare utilization, clinical outcomes, cost impact, and patient-reported outcomes in an effort to track quality and drive healthcare improvement.
This position will staff a variety of SORCE’s ongoing and developing projects and independently apply advanced statistical analytic approaches to healthcare datasets to achieve research project aims. This position will work closely with principal investigators, co-investigators, and senior staff.
Competitive applicants will have a master’s degree in biostatistics, health services, epidemiology, or comparable field; a minimum of 3 years of research experience with analyses using existing large datasets such as SEER-Medicare, Medicare, Truven Marketscan, or CHARS data; and strong communication skills.
